The Best Dress Women of the Philippines is an annual fund-raising charity event of the Philippine Cancer Society founded by Angola Honorary Consul Helen Ong in 2004 through the initiative of the late chairman of PCS, Dr. Roberto Montilla Paterno. It has expanded in later years to include Men of Exemplary Influence.
For over two successful decades, Best Dress Women of the Philippines have raised substantial funds and made a mark as one of the biggest and longest-running fundraising events in the country. One hundred percent of the proceeds of the annual affair goes to the Philippine Cancer Society’s programs and services catering to cancer patients and indigent Filipinos.
Currently, The Board of Directors of The Best Dressed Women of the Philippines are composed of esteemed individuals namely, Consul Helen Ong (Chairman), Mr. Mario Katigbak, Consul Betty Chua (Tanzania), Ms. Flora Chua, Mr. Bo Muralla, Ms. Sheree Chua, Consul Marian Ong (Uruguay), Ms. Eisa Paredes-Mercado, Mr. Charlie Rufino, Ms. Maymay Liechtenstein, Consul Agnes Huibonhoa (Gambia), Dr. Mildred Vitangcol, Ms. Froilan Gonzales, and Ms. Elaine Rojas-Villar.
The success of this endeavor is wholly due to the generosity of the awardees and the supporters of the Best Dressed Women of the Philippines though the leadership of its board led by Consul Helen Ong.
